A Micro Publisher of Stories about Politics, Issues and Places

In our fragile and crowded world, we can survive only together. We can be truly free, ultimately, only together. We can be human only together.

In a time of fracture and confrontation, Claret Press promotes dialogue. We want to be part of the conversation about the issues facing us. And if there's no conversation, then we'll start one: informed, provocative and thoughtful. Our books offset uncertainties and offer clarity with topics that engage, tweak the curiosity and make us laugh aloud.

Most importantly, our books are just great page-turning reads

We want to reverse the trend of careful publishing shaped by corporate needs, and instead be a platform outside the framework of traditional publishing. So we also have an active and free YouTube channel with the popular Talking Points series as well as supportive videos for other micro publishers.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4jfKyv5wYjxvAjJ0LX8AgQ

New York based Essential AudioBooks has turned seven of our books into audiobooks. Drachenhaus Verlag has published the German translation of Brushstrokes in Time by Sylvia Vetta. Mercuria Press in the USA has republished Sarah Gray's books. Black Tea by Stephen Morris has been shortlisted for a Royal Society of Literature Award.

If you like books like this, or are interested in the crazy adventure of building idea-sharing and dialogue through gripping narratives, subscribe to this website.  You'll get a newsletter about events, our books and cute photos of the Claret Press pets. Together, we'll change the world, one fabulous read at a time.
