Insights: Fifteen Stories Exploring Disability
In 2018 Claret Press ran a short story competition for innovative storytelling around the issue of mental and physical illness with 1st prize of £250, 2nd prize of £150 and 3rd prize of £50. We were not disappointed and over 70 heartfelt and accomplished stories were submitted. Although it was difficult, judges Katie Isbester Ph.D., Sarah Gray and Dr James Scott chose what they felt were the 15 best.
Bestselling author Tracy Chevalier generously launched the book and hosted a panel discussion on the issue of writing and disability.
Net proceeds from the sale of the book go to support Motor Neurone Disease Association.
